Furotil Plus 500 is a combination antibiotic containing cefuroxime and clavulanic acid, used to treat a variety of bacterial infections. It works by killing bacteria (cefuroxime) while clavulanic acid helps prevent bacterial resistance, making the treatment more effective against stubborn infections. It is prescribed for infections such as respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and ear infections. The tablet can be taken with or without food, but taking it at the same time each day helps maintain a steady level in the body and improves its effectiveness.
