Disartan contains the fixed-dose combination of Amlodipine and Olmesartan Medoxomil, a potent antihypertensive treatment that employs a dual-pathway approach to achieve effective blood pressure control. Amlodipine functions as a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker that induces peripheral vasodilation by preventing calcium ions from entering vascular smooth muscle cells, thereby lowering systemic resistance.
