**Indications**


* Treatment and prevention of Vitamin E deficiency.

* Used as an antioxidant support for various conditions, including:

* Alzheimer’s Disease / Dementia

* Rheumatoid Arthritis pain

* Nerve damage induced by chemotherapy

* Male infertility

* Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

* Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS) and painful menstrual periods (dysmenorrhea)

* Heart disease (to improve nitrate effectiveness)

* Keratectomy support




**Mechanism of Action**


* Functions as a lipid-soluble antioxidant, protecting cell membranes (polyunsaturated fatty acids) and oxygen-sensitive vitamins (Vitamin A and Vitamin C) from oxidative damage. Prevents deficiency signs like hemolytic anemia, thrombosis, edema, and muscle weakness.


**Dosage & Administration**


* **Age-Related Macular Degeneration:** 400–600 IU daily.

* **Heart Disease (Nitrate Adjunct):** 200 IU 3 times daily.

* **Dementia / Alzheimer’s Disease:** 800–2000 IU 1 to 2 times daily.

* **Rheumatoid Arthritis Pain:** 600 IU daily.

* **Male Infertility:** 200–600 IU daily.

* **Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS):** 400 IU daily.

* **Painful Menstrual Periods:** 200 IU daily.

* **Administration:** Oral softgel/capsule. Take strictly under the guidance of a registered physician.


**Contraindications & Warnings**


* **Contraindications:** Known hypersensitivity to Vitamin E. Also contraindicated in patients with rare hereditary fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption, or sucrose-isomaltase insufficiency.

* **Precautions:** May increase bleeding risk in Vitamin K-deficient individuals or those on oral anticoagulants; monitor PT/INR closely. May increase thrombosis risk in susceptible individuals, including women taking estrogen-containing oral contraceptives.


**Side Effects & Interactions**


* **Side Effects:** Generally well-tolerated. High doses (>1000 IU daily) can cause transient GI disturbances, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

* **Drug Interactions:**

* Potentiates the anticoagulant effect of **Warfarin**.

* May impair absorption of Vitamin A and alter Vitamin K function.




**Pregnancy, Lactation & Storage**


* **Pregnancy & Lactation:** High doses are not recommended during pregnancy (especially the 1st trimester) due to lack of safety evidence. Avoid during lactation as excretion in breast milk is unconfirmed.

* **Storage:** Keep in a cool, dry place away from light and heat. Keep out of reach of children.
