**Active Ingredient & Class**
* **Active Ingredient:** Dydrogesterone (Orally-active synthetic progestogen)
* **Therapeutic Class:** Female Sex Hormones
* **Pharmacology:** Simulates endogenous progesterone to produce a secretory endometrium in an estrogen-primed uterus. Provides protection against estrogen-induced endometrial hyperplasia and cancer without causing androgenic, estrogenic, corticoid, or anabolic side effects.
**Primary Indications**
* **Progesterone Deficiencies:** Threatened or habitual miscarriage, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, secondary amenorrhea, irregular cycles, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, and luteal insufficiency-related infertility.
* **Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART):** Luteal support during fertility treatments.
* **Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT):** Protects the endometrium against unopposed estrogen in menopausal women with an intact uterus.
**Key Dosage Guidelines**
